Touchstone Whippets

Show Prospects

This page is dedicated to those youngsters, that we are growing out with hopes of their debut in the show ring.  They have some pretty impressive pawprints to follow and we will picture them here as they are maturing.

Pictured below are the newest babies that we are watching for their future debuts!  These puppies are from "The Formal" litter, sired by Ammardan Dumond Avalonia out of RBIS BPIS Cdn Ch Touchstone A Splash Of Blue.

We have added a few of our previous show prospects to show what we meant from some impressive pawprints to be followed.

Brody started his show career the day he turned 6 months, when at his first show he was Winners Dog, Best Of Winners, Best Of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy In Breed.  He finished his Canadian Championship one month later at 7months, 4 days being placed Winners Dog at the Capital Area Sighthound Specialty after winning Best In Specialty Sweepstakes.  The following year, in limited showing, he had multiple group placements and was placed (as per Canuck Dogs) #13 Whippet in Canada.

Brie started her show career at 10 months of age, placing Winners Bitch and Best Of Breed over a Special, then going on to win a Hound Group 3rd.  She finished her Canadian Championship a couple of months later placing Winners Bitch, Best Of Winners and Best Of Breed (over Specials).  She then went on and won Hound Group 1st.

Gracie (The Bug) started her show career at 6.5 months of age very promptly being placed Winners Bitch, Best Of Winners and Best Of Breed over Specials and very quickly moving her way right into Hound Group 2nd and Best Puppy In Group.  She finished her Canadian Championship exactly 2 weeks later, being placed Winners Bitch, Best Of Winners and Best of Breed over Specials.  She then wowed the judged and placed Hound Group 3rd and Best Puppy In Group.  But she was not done there,  as she moved her way right to Best Puppy In Show at the grand old age of 7 months, 4 days.  Since then, with her many group wins and placings, she has definitely made her mark in the show ring.  In 2010 (as a yearling) she was (as per Canuck Dogs) #8 Whippet in Canada, and in 2011 (as per Canuck Dogs) was #10 Whippet in Canada.

AJ started his show career at 7 months of age and very promptly picked up his first points and his first Best Puppy In Group.  He finished his Canadian championship at 10 months of age with multiple Best Puppy In Group, multiple Best Bred By Exhibitor In Group and Best Of Winners and Best Puppy In Breed at the CASA specialty show.  AJ will now stay home and mature into the exceptional adult male he will become.

Lila started her show career at 7 months and finished her Canadian Championship at 10 months of age with multiple Best Puppy In Group, a Best Bred By Exhibitor In Group and Winners Bitch at the CASA specialty show.  Lila will come back to the shows next year after she has matured.
