Brody is a 20.5 inch white and watermarked fawn male with an outstanding temperament that makes him a joy to live with. Whelped January 26, 2008 by Cdn Ch Avalonia Edradour out of Eng Cdn Ch Nevedith Ceefa Ceely, he has the quintessential whippet outline whether standing still or on the move. Brody came to us as a young puppy through the generousity of our friends Lanny and Mick Morry, Avalonia Whippets and we will be forever grateful to them for entrusting us with this exceptional boy. Brody epitomizes the word 'gentleman', whether at the shows, at home or with children - he is a true gentleman.
Brody started his show career the day he turned 6 months old and what a start it was, Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex for 3 points. He finished his championship one month later after only 2 weekends of showing and to end it with a bang, he was Best In Specialty Sweepstakes and then Winners Dog at the Capital and Area Sighthound Association Specialty show in Cornwall, September/2008. To break up the boredom of staying home to grow up a bit and a long, cold Canadian winter, Brody decided a litter of puppies with his best friend, Cdn Ch Avalonia Trixie Smith, would be just the way to spice things up. And spice things up it did, as on March 4/09, Riley whelped 8 beautiful, healthy puppies. |

As a yearling in 2009, Brody was only shown in a very limited number of shows - Champlain, Ottawa, SD&G and Nipissing and acquired Best of Breed each time he was shown and 4 Hound Group 3rd placings and 3 Hound Group 4th placings. Thank you to the judges who recognized the quality in this young, immature male.
As per the unofficial results of Canuck Dogs, Cdn Ch Avalonia Bondi At Touchtone, Brody, finished 2009 as #13 Whippet in Canada and #6 Whippet in Ontario. |
